Rafai Penthouse
Rafai Penthouse is a comprehensive interior and exterior transformation of a home in Cammeray, developed in close collaboration with interior designer and client, Amanda Glaser. The project reimagines the house as a cohesive and highly resolved living environment, spanning kitchen, living, dining, bedrooms and bathrooms, alongside targeted architectural interventions to enhance its connection to site.
A new external balcony extends the living spaces outward, framing elevated views across the surrounding greenery and establishing a stronger relationship between inside and out. The arrival sequence was similarly reconsidered, with a new entry pavilion and carport introducing a more defined and refined threshold to the home.
The interiors are confident and expressive, centred around a sculptural kitchen defined by a dark marble palette and circular island. Rich materials and moody green tones are balanced with moments of softness and light, resulting in a layered and characterful interior that reflects the collaborative design process behind it.
